At Lindfield, we are proud to offer a wide range of extracurricular clubs and activities. These include, but are not limited to, football, netball, cricket, cross country, tag-rugby, drama, French, Spanish, athletics, table tennis, lego, dance, choir, dodgeball, gymnastics and so much more!
These activities and clubs run before and after school or through lunchtime breaks, with different age groups offered different opportunities.
The children at Lindfield participate in competitive matches and tournaments with other schools in a range of sports, with notable successes. Our teams regularly qualify for Mid Sussex finals and sometimes go on to represent the area in Sussex and even National events.
We put a high emphasis on the learning of music. Alongside our in-lesson curriculum provision, there are opportunities for pupils to take part in externally organised music lessons. These include instruments such as violin, guitar and keyboard.
We believe that first hand experiences enrich our children’s learning. We offer these through the use of specialist artefacts, visiting speakers, presentations and educational visits. Visits range from local trips such as to Oathall Farm, All Saints' Church and our village High Street to the Sea Life Centre Brighton, The British Wildlife Centre and Warner Bros. Studies.
Our older pupils have the opportunities to take part in residential visits, building their independence, teamwork and social skills. Our Year 5 children attend a 2-day outdoor and adventurous activity programme at Bowles Activity Centre during the autumn term and our Year 6s take part in a 5-day trip to the Isle of Wight in the summer term. These are always highlights of the children’s time at Lindfield!
