We don’t wait until September to get to know our new intake of pupils and their families. We start in the summer term so that your children enjoy coming to school from day one.

Our staff will visit your child at their nursery and we’ll invite you into our school for stay and plays, storytimes and a parent’s meeting. When September comes, we’ll visit you at home before term starts to make the transition as smooth as possible.

This close bond will introduce you to the secret of our success: a clear vision for all our pupils to become confident and caring individuals who gain personal success and a lifelong love of learning.

Everything we do is rooted in our academy values of respect, teamwork, enthusiasm, success, celebration, perseverance, independence and uniqueness.

Come and join our thriving community

We pride ourselves on the broad, balanced and full education we provide, and the high standard of teaching we offer.

Our exciting curriculum allows ample opportunities for children to discover independently and to challenge themselves: this develops their self-belief and motivation. Our clear planning of what and how they learn builds up their knowledge and confidence step-by-step, and encourages them to have high ambitions. Reading is at the core of everything we do; we choose quality texts that spark imaginations.

Our curriculum is firmly rooted in discovering the diverse world around us and allowing children to explore the positive contributions they make to society. Taking up roles such as Eco Warrior, Digital Leader or joining the School Council or Sports Crew encourages them to become positive members of the school community.

Every child is unique and every child is nurtured to reach their potential. Our wide and varied range of opportunities start within the school day and extend beyond it to allow children to develop a thirst for new experiences.  Frequent first-hand experiences, visits and visitors feed children’s imaginations.

A huge range of sports clubs take place before and after school. We’re very successful in inter-school competitions and have a Platinum School Games Mark award.

We give children fabulous opportunities to learn through art, music, design and technology, dance and drama. We’ve been awarded the Arts Council England Artsmark award.

We have had outstanding SATs results at Year 2 and Year 6 over the last three years. All children strive to be the best they can be.

We pride ourselves on building relationships between staff and pupils that are caring and positive. Each child feels valued. Dedicated support staff make sure every child’s needs are met and their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is supported.

Our on-site Forest School gives children the opportunity to learn about their environment and develop a connection with nature. The opportunity to explore builds children’s confidence, develops their self-esteem and enhances their emotional and social skills.

Many before and after school clubs – from dodgeball to chess - offer wraparound care and further develop the whole child.

We are part of the University of Brighton Academies Trust. A family of 15 infant, primary and secondary schools in Sussex, all graded as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

Excellence, innovation and integrity are the values that guide us. We support each other, sharing insights and best practice so we never stop improving.  Our mission is to deliver the best possible education for your child.

Being part of the Trust links us to the University of Brighton: a trusted education provider. We work closely with the University’s School of Education which Ofsted has judged as Outstanding for its teacher training programmes.
