Both primary academies who share a playing field came together to take part in a paper chain challenge that connected the two schools.

We are a happy and friendly academy focused on learning. Our children are polite, respectful, well behaved and proud. We have a well resourced academy where high expectations, good teaching and a dedicated staff mean each child, as an individual, is able to access support and challenge, whatever their ability. I am very proud of the academy’s achievement with children and the ethos and values that surround us, as a community.

As a Multi-Academy Trust, we have used government guidance to form the basis of all our planning and decision making throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to help minimise the risk to our pupils and staff across our 15 academies.
Together we have identified the risks specific to each academy and have updated our COVID-19 Risk Assessment appropriately. For transparency, the following Risk Assessment provides you with the opportunity to view this academy's latest risk assessment that we will be following when our academies fully reopen in March.
As we are all aware, guidance and restrictions are regularly changing, and the impact of those changes may not be reflected in the document while it is going through amendment and review.
Your child’s safety is important to us, as is that of our staff. Please do not send your child into school if they are feeling unwell. If your child develops COVID-19 symptoms in school, they will be isolated and should be tested for the virus as soon as possible. Any siblings will also be sent home as a precautionary measure.

A little more about us...
Lindfield school was opened in September 2000 following the amalgamation of separate infant and junior schools.
The Key Stage 1 wing consists of six classrooms, a well resourced library and the William Allen Hall.
A Key Stage 2 wing was added in 2000 and includes eight classrooms, a computing room and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) room. These two wings are linked by a central rotunda to the former infant school, which was built in the early 1970s.
To meet the high demand for places at Lindfield Primary Academy, our academy has expanded further. In September 2014 we opened a new teaching block which includes three purpose built Early Years classrooms, a spacious Sports Hall, open learning space and cooking facilities for the children.
Lindfield Primary Academy is one of eight primary schools in our catchment area. By September 2019 it will reach its new capacity of 630 pupils.
The Mid Sussex District Plan submitted for examination in August 2016 makes provision for the building of 13600 new homes up to 2031 – an average of 800 per annum over the planning period. A WSCC planning paper entitled “Planning School Places 2017” predicts 1301 additional primary school places will be needed in Mid Sussex between 2016 to 2032. To help meet this increased demand in our catchment area there is a proposal that a new primary school is built at Hurst Farm and in the longer term, a second at Lindfield/Scamps Hill.
Demand for places at LPA is therefore forecast to remain high.
