Curriculum Overview

Our ambitious and creative curriculum enables all of our children at Lindfield to develop as life-long learners. Our Curriculum Intent is to give children the skills and knowledge they need to become confident, secure, caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Our Curriculum Intent places our academy vision and values at the heart of all that we do and therefore extends children’s understanding and experience beyond the academic. We learn under an umbrella of topic titles, which provide children with exciting and stimulating opportunities to discover, make links and learn about the world around them.

Our Curriculum Content

Our curriculum is broad and balanced and helps our children to develop as learners in many areas, including socially, spiritually and morally. Children learn under an umbrella of topic titles, which provide them with exciting and stimulating opportunities to discover and learn about the world around them, as well as equip them with lifelong skills.

Children have fabulous opportunities to learn through a range of different arts subjects, including art, music, design and technology, dance and drama.

Our topic titles enable children to make connections between subjects and develop their enjoyment of the curriculum, having our school values at the core of everything we do.

Our curriculum overview has been compiled to ensure that the 2014 National Curriculum is covered across the different year groups at our academy. More information about the curriculum can be found under individual year groups, where there is an outline of learning opportunities covered each term.
